Once upon a time there was a knight and a beautiful princess who lived in the kingdom of Amor. They had never met each other, and lived about their own lives. The knight fought battles and the caring princess served her people with much love and kindness.
One pleasant evening, the knight was invited to attend a royal tea party at the Kings palace, this was to celebrate their victory in conquering the new lands of Prueba. They wined and dined merrily as the musicians played them all to an engaging atmosphere. The knight and princess were introduced by the Duchess of Shore, a common acquaintance. They spoke briefly, and parted for the night. Little did they know, this was going to change their lives?
As they spoke and met more often around the vast kingdom, the knight was intrigued by the princess. They became friends and met behind the rose gardens to share long conversations. They would spend their time chatting about everything under the sun, it ranged from food, music, family, lovers, politics, theatre and even horses. Nothing escaped their curious minds, and yet, they could be sitting in silence, and be content with the present company. They shared dreams and embraced their differences, as they created new dreams together.
As they months flew by, the day of the battle neared and the knight had to leave. It was a long battle, and they would see the spring turn to summer, without each other.
They said their goodbyes, and parted behind the rose garden. Nevertheless, they were determined not to let the distance, or the distractions, destroy what they had been created.
Days flew by, hours crawled. The minutes always filled with the thoughts of each other. The nights with their voices in the air that sang nothing but love songs.
There was anticipation in the air, as the knight patiently hoped that time would hurry pass, to the day of meeting the princess again.
